    Clarence House has been built to the plans of John Nash from 1825 and 1827 for Prince William Henry, the Duke of Clarence. When he reigned as King William IV from 1830 until 1837, he used Clarence House as his residence. It also was the home of Queen Elisabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh from 1947-1953 and from 1953 the London residence of the Queen Mother until her death in 2002. Today Clarence House is the official home to Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Prince William and Prince Henry. Clarence House is open to visitors during the summer months and what can be seen during a guided tour through five rooms on the ground floor, which are used for official visits, includes a big part of Queen Elisabeth’s art collection. Opening times : August and September, daily from 10.00-17.30 (Please note that Clarence House is in use by members of the Royal Family and therefore opening times might be flexible ) Clarence House is fully accessible.
