About Marco Island
Situated in an unbeatable position right on the sandy beach, Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa offers luxury accommodation and an exquisite pool deck overlooking the Gulf.
Even the standard rooms are extra spacious and are well furnished and decorated. They have all the amenities one would expect, from flat screen TV’s to work desks, as well as private balconies.
The focus at the hotel is undoubtedly on its expansive pool deck, which has all the sun beds and other amenities in abundance, but some may prefer a day of pampering in the enormous onsite spa.
There are a number of great restaurants and bars, from the casual Beach Club Bar & Grill, the perfect spot to enjoy light fare, poolside, to the more formal Sandcastles Dining Room.
Aside from lazing on the beach right out front, guests can also participate in a number of watersports from water skiing to deep sea fishing.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Unbeatable beachfront location
Guests said, in effect, that if they were any closer to the ocean the hotel would have a captain and officers, rather than a hotel manager and staff. They loved that they could simply walk out from the hotel and be right on a very lovely sandy beach.
positive:
Terrific pool deck
Resort hotels usually go all-in when designing the main pool deck, and it seems this hotel was no exception. Guests mentioned that the pool deck was spectacular, with all the facilities they could possibly want, and a view over the Gulf to die for.
positive:
Pleasant and knowledgeable staff
Guests had nothing but good things to say about the staff. They were friendly and offered a warm welcome, but what most impressed was their knowledge of the area and resort and their willingness to share it with guests.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Questions about value for money
Quite a number of guests questioned whether they had really received good value for money during their stay. While most felt the hotel offered good facilities, many did not feel they were good enough to justify the room rate.
negative:
Food not that great
Guests really didn’t feel that the food was up to the standard expected from a hotel like this. Essentially, they felt it let the rest of the hotel down. Breakfast was said to be a particular concern, with the food poorly prepared and presented.
negative:
Nickel and dimed
This was a very common complaint. Guests were upset that there were so many extra charges for all sorts of things, from beach umbrellas to “enhanced” Wi-Fi and parking. They felt that they had paid a great deal of money to enjoy resort facilities, but were being bled for things that should have been included as standard.
