Needs some TLC
A few travellers have commented on the fact that Mackay'S in Strathpeffer has a whole lot of charm and atmosphere, but it has become a bit run down, and could benefit from an upgrade. Even the bar area was a bit drab, and could do with a fresh vibe.
negative:
Beds a bit soft
Some visitors felt that the beds were not as firm as they would have liked them to be, however at the end of the stay, they did report a really good rest, and some guests even booked their next trip.
negative:
No shower?
Not all the rooms have a shower, according to many guests, and this has annoyed quite a number of guests who ended up with only a bath. Luckily the staff managed to move those guests who were adamant that they could preferred a shower.
