The Chateau De Peyrolles castle lies in the Domaine de Peyrolles, 5.5 ha of private grounds in the middle of the countryside, with garden, 2 swimming pools and forest, just 1 km from Apt. Château de Peyrolles offers the combination of an authentic Provencal experience with contemporary comfort. The origin goes back to the Roman times. According to historians, the castle is built on the remains of one of the 12 Roman villas, “Villa Peyrolis”, which used to exist around Apt. The current castle is built at the end of the 16th century. There is also a 15th century watchtower, and an old Roman fountain and lavoir. Several noble families lived in the castle over the last centuries (St. Pons, Astruc, Sollier and de Simony). Château de Peyrolles has 5 apartments accommodating from 2 to 8 persons that are ideal for a quiet holiday in nature as well as for families with children. The domain is very child friendly, with a soccer field, a trampoline, a swing, 2 swimming pools, and many quiet places. Each gite has its own terrace with table and chairs. Although the chateau is only 1km from the center of Apt, it is situated fully in beautiful nature.
