The Pyramids Centre is situated on Clarence Esplanade, Southsea seafront, very close to Southsea Castle. It houses swimming pools with water slides, a soft play area, a gym and a beauty spa. It also hosts live events. Two function rooms are available for private hire, the larger of which can accommodate 1400 people. The second room is a glass house with sea views. Children’s parties can be arranged either beside a pool or in the soft play area. Swimming lessons are given at the centre. The centre opens every day except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The Retreat Beauty Rooms, however, are closed at weekends. Opening hours vary for the different areas of the centre and according to the day of the week, but details can be found on the website. There is a cafeteria beside the pool. All areas have disabled access and guide dogs are allowed. There are baby-changing facilities and high-chairs as well as a special pool for toddlers. On-site parking is available for cars and coaches.
