Hammons Field, which hosts minor league games, is an 8-minute walk away from the hotel. Within 10-minutes' walk you can also reach Missouri State University and the Springfield Expo Center. Drury University is a further 20-minute walk away.

The staff are courteous, personable and customer service oriented. Any problems are dealt with in an efficient manner and staff have been known to go out of their way to provide assistance and ensure you have a pleasant stay.

In need of refurbishment
Some guests felt that the furnishing and decor were outdated and in need of modernization. In some areas the wallpaper is peeling and the carpets and old and worn. Other guests reported a range of maintenance issues, including damaged or broken fixtures in the bathroom and unreliably functioning air conditioning.

Noisy atmosphere
Particularly when large parties are attending a planned event, you may find the atmosphere to be noisy. Some guests complained of noise late into the night, from music, children playing unsupervised in the hallways and guests speaking in loud voices.

Poor customer service
Guests reported a range of poor customer service experiences. At times the reception staff were aloof and seemingly unconcerned about the needs of guests. On other occasions the hotel overbooked their rooms and arranged for guests to move to a different hotel at a distance much further away.
