The passenger lift is a wonderful 1940s-style number, much like the ones featured in those old black-and-white Ealing comedies from way-back-when. A really nice feature.

Whilst the complementary parking permits entitle you to park in any free spaces near the hotel, finding a free space isn't always an easy thing to do. If you're arriving on a Saturday then be prepared to play a waiting game...

You may want to bring some ear plugs with you if you're allocated a room facing the road: the noise made by revellers out on the streets at night is often loud enough to be disturbing, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.

Because the breakfast sitting is only one hour long (08.00-09.00), the staff do all they can to 'encourage' you to leave once you're done. This often equates to having your plate pounced upon before you've even finished chewing! Not good.
