positive:
Accommodating staff
If there is anything you need, you just have to ask one of the friendly staff members. Guests have described the staff at this hotel as willing to go the extra mile for their guests. You might even get a free upgrade if they are not too full.
positive:
Plenty of parking
Travellers love the fact that there is plenty of parking, and the bonus is that it is free. Whether you come in late at night, or during a busy working day, you will not struggle to get a good parking spot.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Dodgy staircase
If you are afraid of heights, or if you do have a disability, you might have a problem if you are any higher than the ground floor. Guests have reported that the stairs do not have hand railings, and are quite steep, which resulted in many visitors needing an extra hand.
negative:
Some noisy rooms
If you happen to be booked into a room near to the bar at the Dog & Bear, it would be preferable if you don't mind being part of the social scene. These rooms are noisy because of the cheerful atmosphere at the bar, so if you would prefer something quieter, ask for a room much further away.
negative:
Looking a bit tired
Although this is a beautiful old building, guests feel that the furniture and bedding don't need to be. The bedding is reported to be a little worse for the wear, and the furniture is not modern at all. Nonetheless, most guests enjoyed their stays enough to book their next vacation.
