Shipka IT Hotel (Shipka, Bulgaria)

The town of Shipka is easily recognized by the glorious gold domes of the Russian memorial church rising out of the mountainside. It is located on the southern slopes of the Balkan mountains with a beautiful view over the Valley of the Roses and Thracian kings. It is an area historically and culturally very rich, with many attractions locally. These include; an abundance of Thracian tombs locally to explore, fishing and boating opportunities at a local picturesque dam, a horse-riding centre within a 20 minute drive and a new popular water park close by. Shipka is also almost equal in distance from the capital Sofia (200 km) and the Black-sea coast (250 km), making Shipka a good base for day trips to other places of interest further afield. Shipka is on the foothills of the Stara Planina mountains, with many walks and bike treks for all abilities located just 10 minutes from the hotel. The close proximity of the mountains with their rich forests makes it a perfect location for a relaxing break. "Shipka IT hotel" is a family establishment.
