Situated on the dramatic north coast of Madeira, in the idyllic village of Ponta Delgada with breathtaking views of mountain and sea, the ancient house of Casa da Capelinha offers you a tranquil retreat away from Funchal’s traffic fumes, hawkers and jostling crowds for you to enjoy the sound of silence and sea breeze at any time of year. One of the few wine producing manor houses in Ponta Delgada still owned by a local family, it was developed in 1996 by the owners who created four apartments with modern comforts for sanctuary seekers to enjoy. The upper floor of the manor house has two one-bedroom apartments (T-1) each with their own balcony overlooking the original winepress, swimming pool and awe-inspiring unending vista of sea crashing into massive cliffs. The ground floor has a studio (T-0) and a one-bedroom apartment with connecting doors which make it possible to accommodate a larger family. These both have direct access to the romantic garden, pool area and barbecue.
