Positive Reviews
positive:
The name says it all—gorgeous sea views.
With a name like the Sea View Hotel, there’s one thing you’d better provide your visitors with—a sea view. The better the seascape, the better the chances your thrilled visitors will return. Fortunately, the hotel is true to its name, providing guests with amazing panoramas of the Mediterranean from the bar and some rooms.
positive:
Close to buses and aquatic adventures.
Seeing as you’re in the midst of the sea, you’ll likely be interested in enjoying water-based activities. Whether you rented a car or not, Malta has a nice little bus system that runs you around the island. If you’re looking for sun and surf, watersports, or aquariums and fun parks, the hotel is close to scores of fun destinations.
positive:
Quaint and pleasant rooms.
While most rooms at the hotel aren’t massive (check with the hotel for room sizes), they’re cosy and pleasant and many come with amazing views of the Maltese Coast. Accommodations are clean, comfortable and offer English channels and paid Wi-Fi. Just make sure you book a room overlooking the sea. You won’t want to miss that sunset.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Hotel use some refit love.
For the most part, visitors to the hotel have found it to be a reasonably priced and pleasant hotel. Some prior guests have found aspects of the hotel a little worn out, including dingy walls and carpeting, aging fixtures and plumbing as well as a few other maintenance issues.
negative:
Paid Wi-Fi or wired Internet only.
While the Sea View Hotel includes a number of excellent amenities, unfortunately, complimentary wireless service isn’t one of them. On top of that, some prior lodgers felt that the paid Wi-Fi was fairly sluggish at that. If you want to avoid paying for Wi-Fi, you may wish to bring a hotspot.
negative:
Heating but no AC.
As unusual as it sounds for an equatorial hotel not to have air conditioning, many of them do not. Although temperatures may be mild most of the year, when that balmy island breeze slows down and the humidity peaks, a ceiling fan might not cut it. If you can’t sleep in the heat, you may wish to book during cooler times of year.
