Rooms are a pleasant surprise. They are refurbished and to the rear of the building, so away from any noise. The air conditioning is effective; there is a TV, tea and coffee facilities ... and the room is extremely clean. Excellent value!
This is a busy, friendly bar with letting rooms to the rear. You are welcome to relax and enjoy the social scene and beer garden: as well as the sports bar and bistro. There is also a gaming room and occasional live entertainment. Parking is free.
There is no Wi-Fi in the letting bedrooms. This is a pity when they seem to have got so many of the other 'essentials' covered.
They don’t serve breakfast here but they will point you in the right direction for nearby cafes.
Check-in is brusque but efficient and takes place in the bar. In the event of a problem, there is no telephone contact from the room to the bar. Water pressure on the shower is poor. All sorts of people are likely to pass by your bedroom door and even knock on it. There’s no ‘peep-hole’, so your destiny is in the lap of the gods when you open the door.
