Positive Reviews
positive:
Traditional style
Things are less westernised here so when staying in the accommodation, you enjoy the bonus of Balinese authenticity. There are rumours, though, suggesting that this unique element might soon disappear with a replacement brand new hotel. Pity!
positive:
Members of staff save the day
Staff members are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they add greatly to the holiday experience.
positive:
Hot breakfast
The breakfast buffet is quite simple really, but perfectly adequate. Local specialities, as well as omelettes, are cooked to order. Breakfast is the ideal way to start the day.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The party’s over
There’s a noise element which can result in difficulty sleeping and general annoyance. Responsibility can be split two ways. First there are the group bookings of younger people who, it seems, can only enjoy themselves if they create problems for others. The second noise source is from the many dogs in the locality.
negative:
Fly by nights
There is a day and night problem with mosquitos. They have no difficulty getting inside the accommodation. Some people aren’t to their liking but if they acquire a taste for you, life is about to become very unpleasant. Members of staff do what they can to reduce the problem but the mosquito always wins the day – or night.
negative:
Poor maintenance
From what other guests say, rooms generally are well below par. Bed linen is very suspect the bathroom smells – and it’s not a new smell! – plus, there is evidence of mold. It seems that quite a few guests elect to move out at the first opportunity, even if it means they lose out financially.
