Lovely views to the Aegean
While the views from the pool terrace were said to be obstructed, guests on the top floor reported that they had lovely views down to Ornos Beach, and the incredibly blue Aegean beyond.
Situated in a lovely quieter area, but still only 800 yards from Ornos Beach, Hotel Marianna Hotel offers traditional Greek accommodation and hospitality in a charming villa-style property. Rooms are simply furnished, and have tile floors to help with cooling. Each features en-suite bathroom, minibar, TV, work desk and telephone. The central feature at Hotel Marianna has to be its gorgeous pool terrace. It offers lovely views to the Aegean, and has the usual sun loungers front and centre. Reception is on hand and can assist with tours, transfers and car/moped rental. On-site parking is available and Wi-Fi is accessible in the public areas. A buffet Greek breakfast is available every morning. As for the other meals, reception staff will be happy to offer great local dining recommendations. Aside from nearby Ornos Beach, the town of Mykonos is only two miles to the north, while the airport is a convenient seven minute drive away.

While there certainly were a number of issues that guests brought up concerning the hotel, many went on to add that the room-rate they got was considerably better than whatever else was being offered in the area. As a result, they felt they received very decent value for money.
While reviews were somewhat mixed, the majority of the guests definitely liked the breakfast offered. It was described as a typical Greek buffet breakfast, and seemed to really hit the spot for most of the guests.
This was perhaps the most common, and most serious, negative observation. A number of guests pointed out that the property was not looking all that good. The problems ranged from peeling paint to broken fixtures and fittings. The combination of maintenance issues gave the impression that the management did not have a firm handle on this, and gave guests a poor impression.
It was quite bizarre reviewing comments made about the staff. It seems that half the guests had terrific experiences with them and the other half absolutely awful. The guests who were not impressed reported that staff did not seem to be very engaged, and at times were even actively rude.
A couple of guests mentioned that there is a small urban farm next door, and that the rooster there takes great pleasure in waking up idle guests at 5:00 AM, especially if they have overindulged the night before.
