Room to spread out.
Spacious rooms were a welcome surprise for many guests. From ample space on the balcony, to larger bathrooms, there was plenty of room to stretch out and feel an added sense of luxury.
positive:
A restaurant worth returning to.
The hotel's on-site restaurant, Sabor, with its delectable fusion cuisine, swaying palm trees, and seaside views, was worth a repeat visit, according to many guests. The gourmet experience had at this restaurant was unsurpassed by other dining establishments visited by guests during their vacation.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Updating in order.
This older hotel built in the 1970's is full of colorful Bahamian charm, according to many guests. Where it may be lacking, is with older furnishings that might be in need of a refresh. Worn furniture, older fixtures, uncomfortable mattresses, and bad lighting, were a few concerns guests had about their otherwise pleasant stay.
negative:
Noisy appliances.
Some guests felt the need to indulge in a few Bahama Mamas, the local drink specialty, in order to sleep through air-conditioning units and fridges that were loud and sometimes malfunctioning. Noisy air-conditioning that went on and off during the night wasn't ideal for a restful slumber.
negative:
Service can be slow.
Island time is in full effect at this resort, and guests who want things to happen quickly might be disappointed. Slower service at the restaurant and long waits for requests made it so guests had to adjust their expectations.
