The main attraction is of course the surrounding Ginza shopping and entertainment district, one of the most frenetic neighbourhoods in the world.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location in the heart of Ginza
Of course it had to be the location that guests most appreciated about the hotel. It is located in Tokyo's, and Japan's, top shopping and entertainment district. Guests were definitely never short of things to do or places to go.
positive:
Very comfortable beds
In line with comments form other Mitsui Group properties, guests at their Ginza hotel found the beds extremely comfortable. Due to completely natural differences in taste, it is exceptionally unusual to find near universal praise for a property's mattresses, but such was the case here.
positive:
Great views
Since this is a high rise building in the middle of a massive city, most of the rooms have great cityscape views. But even those on the lower floors could go up to the 16th floor restaurant and cocktail bar and admire the views over the city and the Tokyo Tower.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some very small rooms
While the hotel does offer more expensive, and more spacious, superior rooms and suites, guests staying in the standard rooms described them as being uncomfortably small. If they were any smaller the bed would have to be placed upright.
negative:
Lack of facilities
While perhaps it was to be expected on account of the central position and incredibly expensive real estate in the area, many guests were disappointed at the lack of facilities at the hotel. Many would have liked a nice Japanese spa, or at the very least a gym for a quick workout .
negative:
Some questions about the breakfast
While there weren't a whole lot of complaints, there were even fewer commendations when it came to the breakfast. Some guests felt both that it was much too expensive and just not varied enough.
