About Mary's Hotel Paris
Situated close to trendy Place de la Republique, Mary’s Hotel offers simple clean accommodation to guests travelling on something of a budget.
The rooms are very much “no frills”, but contain all you need for a good night’s sleep. Each features en suite bathroom, flat screen TV, work desk and telephone.
Mary’s concentrates on offering the very best value, and there are very few public facilities. Reception is on hand to assist with local information, while free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
A very basic continental breakfast is available every day, but there are many great dining options to choose from in the area covering all tastes and budgets.
Mary’s is situated in an up and coming area, not too far from the tourist sights. The Louvre is 1.8 miles from the hotel and the Eiffel Tower four miles. There are several metro stations within just 400 yards, so all of Paris is easily accessible.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Pretty good location
Guests really seemed to like the location. They say that the neighbourhood was relatively pleasant, and more importantly, that it was close to numerous metro stations. They felt that they had all the practical amenities nearby, and that the city's star attractions were just a quick metro ride away.
positive:
Excellent budget option
Whatever they thought of the hotel itself, it was undoubtedly the room-rates that most impressed the guests. It seems most were travelling on something of a budget, and were simply relieved to be able to have their own space in central Paris at a rate that didn't break the bank. They felt they received excellent value.
positive:
Friendly and helpful staff
Many guests seemed somewhat surprised to be reporting that the staff at Mary's were a joy to interact with. They were described as friendly, and quite willing to offer help and advice.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Exceptionally poor Wi-Fi
Going by guest comments it seems that the Wi-Fi system is so bad it really is all but useless. Guests mention a litany of problems, but the gist of it all is that those with an urgent need for reliable connectivity will need to make other arrangements.
negative:
Some issues with cleanliness
Although there were also a fair number of compliments, there were perhaps too many complaints about rooms being dirty for comfort. It may be necessary to do some spot cleaning oneself, or request a refresh from reception to feel comfortable.
negative:
Rooms very small
This wasn't a complainant so much as an observation. Guests did realise they were in a budget hotel in central Paris, so could hardly expect any different, but the fact is that the rooms are very small. It might be awkward for two or more people to spend too much of their waking hours in them.
