Guests with rooms facing the lake clearly appreciated the view. It seemed that the tranquil water view offered guests a bit of peace after the overwhelming lights and energy of the casino complex.

Guests couldn’t seem to say enough good things about the staff. They were especially impressed with their ability to properly accommodate them when they had somewhat unusual requests.

Many guests were clearly surprised to be complimenting the food. They felt that despite the bad reputation of casino restaurants, the ones here did a good job. The buffet came in for a lot of praise, with guests really liking the variety of foods offered and especially the high level of service.

Reading through the reviews, it was obvious that guests were immensely disappointed with the quality of the rooms. Before arriving they believed that, since the hotel was attached to a glamorous casino, the rooms would surely also be glamorous. In reality, they found the rooms to be very plain. Some even felt they were “dingy”.

Guests who were looking to do a bit of gambling, or even just use the amenities in the casino complex, were shocked to find that it was some distance away, and not directly attached to the hotel. There was a shuttle available, but this was itself a bit awkward to use.

Many guests pointed out that the hotel is very close to some very well-used railroad tracks. Had there been adequate soundproofing in the rooms, this might not have been a problem, but guests mentioned that they could easily hear the trains pass by, causing them sleep and other disturbances.
