Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location for shopping and entertainment
This was perhaps what most impressed guests about the hotel. While they did like being in the waterfront district in general, and close to the Warisan Centre in particular, another location that guests often mentioned was the Philippine Market, which was also said to be just a minute or so away on foot.
positive:
Excellent onsite security
A simply remarkable number of guests brought up the question of security. It is perhaps the case that the area suffers from a poor safety reputation, but whatever the reason, many guests said that the hotel had excellent security in place and they felt very secure when staying there.
positive:
Friendly and kind staff
Many guests said that they found the hotel's staff to be delightful, saying they offered a warm welcome and genuine friendliness during their stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Poor breakfast
Going by the ratio of complaints to compliments, it's clear that the breakfast served at the hotel every morning is just not up to scratch. Many guests complained about it, with the word “poor” often used when describing it. It seems guests did not think much of either the variety offered or the taste of the food that was available.
negative:
Bit of noisy environment
Guests complained that the rooms really did not seem to have effective soundproofing. The traffic noise from the streets down below was said to be especially bad, causing some guest's sleep to be disturbed.
negative:
A bit of a hostel feel
Quite a number of guests independently stated that they thought the property could more accurately be described as a hostel, rather than as a hotel. They simply didn't feel it was up the standard required of a hotel.
