Positive Reviews
positive:
The private sauna a big hit
This was perhaps what most impressed guests about their room. Each room has a small private sauna, suitable for two. To say that guests considered it a boon to be able to fire it up after a long and cold day on the slopes is to substantially understate the matter.
positive:
Close to the slopes
Skiers and boarders describe the location as being about 10 minutes' walk from the chairlifts. While there is a free bus that would take them there, most did not feel the need to use it.
positive:
Good Arctic safari options available
Many guests are in town not only to ski, or see Levi, but to explore the Lapland wilderness. Guests found that there were a number of safari operators in town that could get them out into the open, where they could better see the Northern Lights and other sights.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Annoying extra charge for Wi-Fi
It seems the Lapland Hotel Group has a policy of charging for Wi-Fi. Although the charge isn't completely excessive, it is charged per device, and guests simply feel that in this day and age connectivity is such a basic requirement that it should be included in the room-rate.
negative:
Some issues with room cleaning
Several guests had issues with room cleaning. It wasn't usually that they regarded the room as filthy, but simply that it wasn't well cleaned. It did not give them confidence in the hotel's commitment to take care of the details.
negative:
Breakfast at some distance
Guests mention that there is a quite trek every morning to get to breakfast - as much as 500 yards, depending on room location. While some may welcome this as a way to build up the appetite, this would be a distinct minority opinion.
