Positive Reviews
positive:
Great on-site restaurant
The in-house Enoteca Restaurant and Bar was perhaps the feature guests most appreciated during their stay at La Bellasera. It has a good reputation in Paso Robles wine country, and going by guest comments this reputation is well-deserved, both in terms of the food as well as the ambiance.
positive:
Excellent décor and design
Guests almost universally approved of the decor and design of the hotel. Many felt it met their expectations of what a luxury property in wine country should look like, and that it provided a classy retreat at the end of a long day touring the wine cellars and estates of the area.
positive:
Exceptionally spacious rooms
Whatever small problems guests may have had with their rooms here and there, it seems their size was not one of them. Several guests expressed their surprise at just how spacious the rooms were - certainly more than big enough for the number of people booked in.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Spa not very extensive
This was a fairly common complaint. A number of guests were disappointed to discover that the spa area consisted pretty much of a massage room. They were clearly expecting more extensive facilities.
negative:
Questions regarding value for money
While not a universal complaint, a number of guests questioned whether the room-rate they paid was really reasonable. They seemed to accept that the hotel was a cut above many others in the area, but felt not sufficiently above to justify the room rates charged.
negative:
Leaking ceilings
While certainly not a universal complaint, more than one recent guest complained about a leak from their ceiling. It seems that one or two rooms may have an unrepaired leak that could cause problems in heavy rain.
