Negative Reviews
negative:
Not luxurious, a little worn.
Some Villa Lutèce Port-Royal opined that despite the 4-star rating, this hotel is not particularly luxurious. In the contrary, the rooms were occasionally said to be looking a bit tired; thanks to worn carpet, faded wallpaper and other furnishings in need of refreshing.
negative:
No restaurant, Wi-Fi and AC could be stronger.
The fact that there was no restaurant for lunch and evening meals — only a breakfast buffet — was not appreciated by some guests. In addition, the Wi-Fi signal is apparently not strong and sometimes available only in the lobby and guests occasionally thought the air conditioning needed to be stronger.
negative:
Bathroom privacy and undesirables in area.
A few guests were unhappy about the lack of privacy due to bathroom windows lacking curtains, and a handful of others felt uneasy about the area and people they saw drinking in the nearby park. Having said that, these were seldom thought to be issues by most guests.
