Vila Vala offers apartment accommodation in a stone family house on Dubrovnik’s Lapad Peninsula, just 100 metres away from Lapad Beach and ten minutes’ ride away from the Dubrovnik Old Town. Guests here can enjoy lovely Adriatic Sea views, forest and coastal walks and free transfers from Dubrovnik Bus Station or the Gruž Port ferry terminal. All three apartments are air conditioned, have either a balcony or terrace, TV, a fully-equipped kitchen, one or two extra beds, and include all linen. Guests can make the most of free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi in public areas and the hosts are happy to help with tourist information and bookings. A wide range of bars, restaurants and a market are found a few minutes’ walk away. Vila Vala is five minutes’ drive from the Gruž Market and less than half an hour away from Dubrovnik Airport.
Guests loved being just a short walk away from the beautiful waters and pebble shores of Lapad Beach, as well as restaurants, bars and supermarkets to pick provisions up from, if you stroll in the other direction. You can easily catch a bus to the Dubrovnik Old Town if you feel like exploring within the stone walls, or even take a lovely walk there in around 40 minutes.
Vila Vala was found to offer reasonably priced and spacious budget accommodation with either a terrace or balcony to relax and dine on, old fashioned, but comfortable furnishings, and all of the facilities you need to look after yourself (apart from an oven). Guests said the apartments were kept very clean due to daily housekeeping and towel changes.
The family hosts letting the apartments are said to be very friendly, happy to help out with bookings and transfers, and lives on site if you need anything.
Vila Vala was thought to be in need of renovation by some guests, who thought the decor was a little dated. However, everything reportedly worked fine, and most people did not seem to mind the appearance given the positives of the stay and the great location.
