Marvelous meals.
It was obvious to guests that The Three Lions upholds high standards for cuisine. Passion for cooking really shines here, and guests raved about delightful meals that were delicious and well-presented. From the freshly baked bread to the foraged mushrooms, eating here was an unforgettable experience.
positive:
First rate service.
Guests were treated to great hospitality at this establishment. A warm welcome was only eclipsed by an even friendlier breakfast conversation. Guests felt that hosts were always available, but never overbearing.
positive:
So much to do.
Guests wished that they could have stayed longer, for the wide variety of interesting excursions in the area. When you are finished relaxing in the peaceful grounds, nearby Southhampton and Bournemouth are great for theatre, and guests were impressed with Beaulieu Car Museum. The younger crowd might enjoy Marwell Zoo or Paulton Fun Park.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Insufficient Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi was not the best at The Three Lions. Guests were disappointed with a weak signal, and some guests said that they were unable to connect with the Internet at all. If you have important e-mails to attend to, you might be frustrated.
negative:
Check the restaurant schedule.
Some guests were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner one day a week. However, while cooking staff are taking a day off, guests have easy access to local eateries, including Foresters Arms for pub food, a five-minute drive away.
negative:
Older rooms.
A few guests thought that rooms would have been better with newer decor. While clean and comfortable, some wished for accommodation that was a little less dated.
