Hotel The Longford Arms (Longford, Ireland)

The hotel location is satisfactory. There are a number of nice restaurants and shops around. It's in the centre of Longford and has safe parking that is locked up during the night-time hours.

The fitness centre at the hotel is more than adequate. You can certainly get a decent workout if you are into fitness as the machines are great and function well.

You will feel warm and comfortable if you arrive during the winter months. The hotel has a good heating system and don't be shy about asking for extra blankets. There is also a heated towel rack.

The hotel staff could be more helpful and attentive. In addition, there is no lift, so if you or someone with you have a problem with stairs, you won't be comfortable at this facility. Don't look for assistance carrying your bags up the stairs either, it doesn't seem to be a prerequisite of the staff.

You may find stains on the carpeting, a musty smell, and things like broken springs in the mattress amongst other damaged furnishings. In addition, the reception and bar decor could do with a bit of renovation.

The hotel restaurant is more like a cafeteria. Depending on your taste, the food can be very bland and it doesn't seem fresh but frozen or store bought. Piping hot, tasty dishes and sauces will probably not hit your taste buds at this place. In the evening only bar food is served.
