Positive Reviews
positive:
Nice yet quiet location
If you like to have all Patong Beaches lively attractions and beach within reach, yet be away from its incessant noise, you may find this hotel's location to your liking. You can get to Patong Beach in about eight minutes by foot, and whilst guests say that there are some nice markets (including cheap food markets), shops and a few restaurants nearby, there are no noisy clubs in the area.
positive:
Excellent value
The big appeal of this hotel for its guests is also the price. For a bargain rate, you still have pretty nice and spacious rooms, which are cleaned to a good standard and the use of a lovely roof-top pool.
positive:
Strong Wi-Fi
Guests are pleasantly surprised, not so much that they get complimentary Wi-Fi, but that it works so well. It is very fast with a strong signal.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very whiffy
Guests often point out that there is an unpleasant odour - like drains or sewage - in various parts of the hotel, such as the lobby or lift and even in their rooms. Many are transferred to other rooms to get away from it.
negative:
A bit far from the action
Guests wanting to experience the nightlife on Bangla Road find the hotel is just a bit too far for their liking. Whilst it is possible to walk, it is a long way. The ten-minute walk is also be a bit too far for certain people to get to the beach - some recommend that you hire a bike.
negative:
Glass walls lack privacy
Guests are taken aback when they find that the walls separating the living area and the bathroom are made of glass. Whilst this might be OK if you're going away with your partner, it can be a bit complicated if you're staying with friends.
