The Location Is Hard To Beat
The hotel is in a great location. It's right in the center of main street in downtown St. Helena. What makes it so cool is that it is in walking distance to everything. You will find lots of restaurants and wineries all around. There's easy access to bike routes as well.

Old Style Decor With Charm
If you are into antiquated type furnishings, you will enjoy the ambiance of this hotel. It's an old-fashioned type scene that is kind of homey. They are not quality type pieces that you will find worth lots of money on the auction block, at least not by their appearance; however, you can enjoy the unique detail in certain pieces.
positive:
The Freebies Are Good
The free European style breakfast is decent and the free Wi-Fi seems to work.

Untrustworthy Shenanigans
If you are looking forward to a refund, even if the hotel was in the wrong, you can forget it. It won't happen and you're stuck with paying a huge amount of money for sub-standard service. Yes, hotel's have policies; however, it seems that this hotel has no scruples and your concerns are not a priority.
negative:
It's not Antique, It's Just Old
There's a big difference in a beautiful antique and something that's just old. The hotel furnishings appear just old, not of antique quality. In other words, on the auction block it would be a surprise if they fetched any revenue at all.
negative:
It's Like A Doll House
The rooms are really small, almost tiny. The bathrooms are tiny as well. Amenities are lacking and there are no dressing facilities. The room is so small, there is no room for a table and chair. There may be larger rooms; however, the rooms being small seems to be the trend. The space is primarily uninspiring and appears soiled.
