In need of an update
Some guests have remarked the the hotel would benefit from a slight renovation, as bedrooms in particular are looking slightly outdated and mattresses reported as being quite worn. Generally speaking, this didn't detract from guests' overall experience.
negative:
Why did the sand blush? Because the seaweed.
As with many Mexican/Caribbean resorts, the beach quite often suffers from a large amount of seaweed being washed up on the shore. This is not the hotel's fault, and staff work hard to clear the beach however it's worth noting that sometimes swimming in the ocean is not always possible.
negative:
Swimming pool needs attention
A handful of guests have pointed out that the swimming pool is in need of some TLC, with a few stains noted as well as a couple of missing tiles which could potentially be sharp on your feet.
