Hotel Riu Monica - Adults Only (Nerja, Spain)

The rooms at this hotel are said to be spacious, comfortable and clean. There is plenty of storage and hanging space and housekeeping staff work vigorously to ensure the rooms are spotless.

The buffet restaurant at this hotel offers a vast choice of dishes to suit all tastes. Guests have reported staff in the restaurant are also happy to assist those with dietary requirements where possible.

Guests have previously commented that the hotel was looking slightly tired and in need of renovation. The hotel temporarily closed in November 2015 for a full upgrade and is due to open, new and improved, by March 2016.

A handful of guests have mentioned they would have preferred if chairs and loungers on the beach were free. They are at a cost which is unlike many resorts in Europe however prices are reasonable and the beach is said to be beautiful and worth every penny.

Some guests have been frustrated at the length of time it's taken them to get through Malaga airport on their arrival into Spain. This is obviously nothing to do with the hotel however is worth noting for guests planning on organising their own transport.
