Positive Reviews
positive:
A hidden treasure.
Away from the well beaten routes to the costas, this is an area favoured by the Spanish. It offers visitors an opportunity to integrate in to the lifestyle of south west Spain. Nothing is crowded or cramped here and the hotel grounds are very extensive. There are three hotel restaurants and in addition to the impressive pool areas, there is access to the beach and more bars and restaurants.
positive:
Good food and diligent staff.
Meals are very good and well presented. It's noticeable that, at busy times, the management team has a presence in order to respond to any problem. Individually, they are friendly and extremely helpful.
positive:
Excellent facilities.
The pools are impressive and very clean (*everywhere here is spotless). The ‘swim up' bar is a particularly popular feature. The beach, too, is fabulous and a two minute walk away. Sunsets from there are amazing. It's a large hotel with lots of things happening; it all seems to go like clockwork!

‘The 39 steps' … x 2
That's how many (steep) steps you'll need to negotiate to get to the beach. Daunting for the physically fit and a complete non-starter for elderly or infirm guests.

Stand by for the weekend
Favoured by the Spanish; they flock here like locusts at the weekend and completely take over. At this point, other visitors' interests are side-lined. Can't wait for Monday!

Oh, for some peace and quiet
The one thing they've overlooked when planning the hotel, is a quiet lounge area to just sit and relax. Everywhere is cavernous and noisy; something that increases in volume with herds of wild kids left to roam at will. The main bar, too, is vast; not the sort of place to relax and contemplate the day's highlights.
