About Rabay
Set in an idyllic location on the shores of Lake Garda, the Raby Hotel offers guests sophisticated accommodation, and the ideal setting to do as much, or as little, as they would like
Most rooms have spectacular views over either Lake Garda or Mount Baldo, and all feature air conditioning, satellite TV, telephones and safes. They also have either balconies or a small terrace.
The setting right on the lake provides opportunities for watersports, while the hotel itself offers table tennis, pool and bike rentals, a small indoor pool and a private dock. There is parking available, and Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property. The staff can arrange hikes and tours in the area.
There is an on-site buffet restaurant open for all three meals.
Hotel Rabay is 34 miles from Verona, while Milan’s Malpensa Airport is 133 miles away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Very picturesque location on the lake
This is by far the most commented aspect of the Rabay Hotel. Guests come mostly for the scenic location, on one of Northern Italy's lesser known lakes, and they are not disappointed. They describe the views from the property as lovely.
positive:
Great buffet breakfast
It's very hard to find a negative comment about the breakfast. Guests describe being very happy with the breakfast, and feeling no need to have this meal anywhere else. Reviews of the other meals are more mixed, so guests who will have their own car could consider exploring the nearby villages to find that perfect dinner spot.
positive:
Deck chairs available
Surprisingly, many guests were very impressed with the availability of free deck chairs to use on the shores of the lake. This is perhaps expected at a resort with a massive pool terrace, but guests felt that it was extra special in this lakeside environment.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms much smaller than advertised
Several guests have claimed that the room they were presented with on check-in was much smaller than those seen on the hotel's website. Whether it's a case of strategic photography, or whether rooms of the same class do greatly vary in size is unclear, but the sentiment is clear.
negative:
Some difficulty with English
While this was not a majority opinion, a couple of English speaking guests have mentioned that most of the hotel staff cannot communicate in English at all. It is perhaps a bit much to expect hotels to always cater to English speakers, but then many do. Hotel Rabay does not appear to be one of them.
negative:
Décor is a bit dated
Given the wonderful outlook, many guests expect a level of luxury that the hotel doesn't posses. The decor is not described as being terrible, merely “dated”.
