Despite the age of the building, the rooms are ultra-modern, and feature air conditioning, minibars, flat screen TV’s with satellite channels, in-rooms safe and telephones. Reception staff are on duty 24 hours and can assist with local information. Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. The hotel has a gourmet restaurant serving delectable dishes in elegant surroundings. There is also a Winter Garden, with terrific floor to ceiling windows to let in all the glorious light. Here you can enjoy coffee and pastries while soaking up the atmosphere. The Platinum Palace Residence is fairly central, with the main train station being just one mile away, while the not to be missed Imperial Castle is just 1.5 miles from the hotel.
While not right in the centre of Poznan, the majority of guests seemed to have liked the location of the hotel. They liked that the neighbourhood was relatively quiet, and they didn't need to contend with possible revellers and street disturbances in the city centre.
Guests described the staff as welcoming and friendly, but also professional and efficient. As a result, they had every confidence that something they brought up to a staff member would get due attention.

Again and again guests commented that the rooms were really small. They did seem to like the modern design, and even the functionality, of the rooms, but were disappointed they were not a bit bigger.
Unfortunately the modern design ethos seems to have gone too far when it comes to the showers. Quite a number of guests mentioned that every time they took a shower the whole bathroom floor would be flooded. They ascribed it to the design, saying there was nothing they could have done to prevent the flooding, other than just not shower.
In addition to the problems with the showers, guests mention that the bathrooms are of the trendy sort that have virtually transparent glass walls. While the conceded that they looked good, most did not like the lack of privacy this entailed when using the facilities.
