Hotel Piccolo (Verona, Italy)

The hotel is impressive as it is very clean with good sized rooms including the bathroom. The rooms are simple but cosy. The premises are well maintained and welcoming as well.

A brisk walk of around 15-minutes will get you to the city centre. The hotel has free parking in front of the hotel in case you drove your vehicle and prefer to leave it. The public transport is just 5-minutes away and you can also purchase a one-day ticket very cheaply. The Porta Nova Railway makes it easy for you to travel to places like Bologna, Venice, and Lake Garda.

It's definitely worth mentioning that the W-Fi in the hotel is superb. It actually works, which is a rarity these days. The air conditioning is excellent as well.

There are no immediate places around the hotel to eat; however, there is a shuttle bus that will take you to the city centre but it doesn't leave until roughly 7:30 pm. By that time you're literally starving if you dislike the food at the hotel.

Though the hotel is clean, it is somewhat outdated and could do with a touch-up. The rooms aren't horrible and you can very well tolerate the décor, but you can easily see where improvement is needed

It can get pretty hot in Verona and though the air conditioning actually works, you can't control it. It functions automatically but seems to miss the mark in some instances. For example, it may not go high enough when it's very hot and may be too strong if it's chilly outside. It would be great if you could manually control it.
