Positive Reviews
positive:
Very convenient for the UC-Davis Medical Center
A great many guests were visiting the UC-Davis Medical Center for a variety of reasons. To this end, they found Med Park’s location, right across the road from the center, to be ideal. It helped reduce the stress of having to drive to the center when they usually had enough to deal with already.
positive:
Warm cookies in the lobby
Guests who had passed through the reception area in the afternoons mentioned that the hotel has freshly baked warm cookies placed out ready for hungry guests. It may have been a small gesture, but was one that certainly went a log way.
positive:
Friendly and kind staff
Given that many guests were staying at the hotel due to a medical issue of either themselves or someone close to them, they appreciated the fact that the staff were kind and understanding even more than would normally be the case.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking a bit cramped
Many guests didn’t like the underground parking lot. They found that it was difficult to get into and out of, and even once there it was cramped and difficult to move around in. Those with SUV’s, and other large cars were the unhappiest by far.
negative:
Damage deposit on arrival
There seemed to be some confusion over the deposit fee that was taken off the guest’s credit card at check-in. Many were clearly not expecting this, and felt that the fact that this would be done should have bee highlighted on the hotel’s websight and the third party booking sites they use.
negative:
Limited breakfast hours
Guests felt that the time during which breakfast was served was far too restrictive. Both business people heading off early and other guests wanting to seep in from time to time really felt that they missed out.
