Situated in a convenient location right off the I-210, La Reve Pasadena is a charming low-rise property offering comfortable accommodation and excellent leisure amenities. The rooms are simply furnished, but have all you’ll need for a good night’s rest. Each features a single King or two Queen size beds, pillowtop mattresses large flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee maker and much more. The comfortable BYOB lounge is at the heart of the hotel, and the perfect place to relax with friends. There’s also a seasonal outdoor pool with a quirky deck, the perfect place to be on a fine day. There’s also a wellness area offering sauna, whirlpool and fitness center. While a complimentary breakfast is served daily, reception staff pride themselves on their excellent dining recommendations in a city known for its great restaurants. The Pasadena Convention enter is approximately four miles from La Reve.
To be honest, most guests did not think very much of the rooms at all. There are, however, some rooms that have been recently renovated. Guests in these seemed a great deal happier, saying they looked good and were very comfortable. It is unclear whether there are plans to renovate all the rooms.
One of the few positive points it seems guests could agree on was that the hotel was very well situated. There was said to be a metro stop within walking distance and guests liked being so close to the interstate exit. It made getting around just that much easier.
Guests really seemed to enjoy the wellness area. The facilities as a whole were said to be very good, with guests especially liking the sauna and whirlpool.
This was a very common complaint. While guests certainly liked the convenience of being so close to the highway, they found that it didn’t come without a cost. The noise from the cars speeding by was said to be easily heard in the rooms, causing sleep problems for some guests.
While it is complimentary, guests felt that hotel may as well not have bothered with breakfast. It was said to consist simply of a pre-wrapped Danish and a cup of coffee, with the coffee said to be especially bad.
A surprising number of guests mentioned that they had trouble with the Wi-Fi. It was said to be both unreliable and slow and seems to have caused a lot of frustration all round.
