Hotel Le Relais Lyonnais (Montréal, Canada)

This was by far what most impressed guests during their stay at the hotel. It is located right in Rue St. Denis, perhaps the city's most famous for cafes, bars nightlife and so on. It seems that many guests were after just these things and were very happy to be right in the midst of trendy and happening Montreal.

A remarkable number of guests commented on the beds, saying that they were especially comfortable. Considering how hard it is to choose a mattress with genuinely broad appeal, the large number of compliments is very impressive indeed, suggesting the beds are very comfortable in a general sense, rather than just suiting certain people.

It was nearly impossible to find an unkind word written about the hotel's staff. It seems guests found them to be very friendly and welcoming, but what most impressed was their willingness to help. The concierge was often mentioned by name, and described as being both very knowledgeable and always willing to assist.

A number of guests commented on the absence of a lift, saying it was a particular problem when they had heavy suitcases to move up or down the stairs, and of course might be an issue for those with mobility issues.

Guests found that the very central and trendy location did not come without a cost. Those in street facing rooms were likely to report that the area was quite loud, with lots of revelry and other street noise. These rooms would perhaps suit those who intend to be in the areas bars and cafes making the noise, rather than those looking for an early night. Rear facing rooms seemed to be much quieter.
