Situated in a semi-residential area of Gatineau, just a couple of miles from Ottawa, Le Philémon is a stylish B&B offering modern accommodation with a terrific rooftop terrace. The rooms are simply furnished and decorated and feature lovely wood floors and modern bathrooms. The B&B offers a small rooftop terrace, where guests are welcome to relax and look out over the rooftops of suburban Gatineau. There is also a meeting room available that can be booked. Of course a B&B would be nothing without the second “B”, with a full and hearty breakfast being provided every morning. As for the other two meals, there is a nearby commercial strip that has a good selection of dining options Many guests will no doubt be heading into the attractions in the nation’s capital. The Parliament Hill complex is just over the river and approximately 2.5 miles from Le Philémon.
Guests seemed to have only good things to say about the host, Anika. She was described as very friendly and seemed only too happy to help out her guests with information and other practical matters when they really needed
A remarkable number of guests seemed to end up at this B&B in Gatineau almost “by mistake” since they were actually visiting Ottawa. In the end, after taking stock of the situation, they felt that it was actually an excellent option when visiting the nation's capital. They said that it was not only very close to Ottawa's main attractions, like Parliament Hill, but that it was also easy to get there and offered room rates far more reasonable than most places across the river
Guests were pretty impressed with the breakfast served every morning, especially the fact that it was cooked to order. It seems it provided an excellent start to most guest's day.
