Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent location
It was undoubtedly the location of the hotel that most impressed guests during their stay. Although some way out of the Melbourne CBD, the shopping districts of Oakleigh was said to be conveniently close, as well as the train station were they could catch commuter trains into the city if they wished.
positive:
Very comfortable beds
A number of guests mentioned that the beds were remarkably comfortable. Due to the lack of complaints, it seems that the motel may have actually managed to select a mattress with genuinely broad appeal.
positive:
Good value for money
Even those guests who had some issues during their stay mentioned that, since the room rate was so low, and the location pretty good, they felt they received good value for money.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Poor outside lighting
A number of guests reported that they found it difficult to find their rooms at night. The external lighting was said to be especially poor, making it difficult to find one's way, and in some cases even dangerous.
negative:
Problems with the bathrooms
A number of guests had issues with their bathroom. Some mentioned that it was unclean, with finding other peoples hair and mould being the typical complaints. Others mentioned that the room lacked any shelves or other places were they could put their toiletries, making things very awkward indeed.
negative:
In-house restaurant a bit haphazard
Guests mentioned that breakfast wasn't supplied by the hotel itself, but rather by the attached restaurant. Going by the reviews, it seems that this restaurant often has staffing issues that result in it not opening at all for lunch and dinner and offering a very pared-down offering for breakfast.
