Positive Reviews
positive:
The Texas waffles
While reviews of the breakfast as a whole
were quite mixed, there was no question that guests enjoyed the waffles. Like
at other La Quinta properties, guests got to make them themselves. This was fun
in itself, and ensured that they ended up on their plate piping hot. But what they
really liked was that they were in the shape of the Lone Star State.
positive:
Very convenient for the airport
It will hardly come as a surprise, but guests found the hotel to very convenient when flying to/from El Paso Airport. The hotel provides a shuttle, which was said to work well.
positive:
Pets very welcomed
While not mentioned too often in this case, a few guests did highlight the fact that the hotel was genuinely pet friendly, with both their pets and themselves receiving a very warm welcome.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very noisy environment
While the location near both the airport and the highway is supremely convenient, this didn't come without a cost. Guests mentioned hearing a lot of noise from both those sources in their rooms. For some the noise of the jets, or the cars zooming by, made it difficult to get quality sleep.
negative:
Looking just a little dated
While guests were at pains to explain that it was only a very minor issue at this point, some did think that the décor and furnishings were just beginning to show their age. In their mind, a quick refresh, rather than a full renovation, was needed to bring things back up to scratch.
negative:
Breakfast room a bit small
While it seems that all guests could find a seat, a few said that the breakfast room was uncomfortably cramped. They reckoned it was simply not big enough for the number of guests accommodated by the hotel.
