About La Quinta by Wyndham Pueblo
Situated in a convenient location just off the I-25, La Quinta Inn & Suites Pueblo is a charming property offering sleek and modern accommodation and terrific leisure amenities.
Like the rest of the property, the rooms have a fresh and modern design. They are also very well-equipped. Each features “Smart” TV with plug and play functionality, fast Wi-Fi, work desk, telephone, alarm clock, hairdryer and coffee maker.
The star feature is undoubtedly the lovely outdoor pool and deck. There’s even a gazebo allowing you to sit in the shade. On a more practical note, there’s a fitness center for those keeping in shape, and a mini-mart where you can stock up on snacks.
The breakfast served every morning is a simple continental affair, but more substantial food can be found at one of the nearby restaurants, which include a Cracker Barrel and a Texas Roadhouse.
Downtown Pueblo is only four miles drive to the south.
Positive Reviews
positive:
That shiny new room feeling
Guests say that the hotel looks either very newly built, or that it has recently undergone a comprehensive refurbishment. Whichever of these is the case barely matters. The guests liked the feeling of being in a chic property with that “new room smell”. It was like an added, and unexpected, bonus to them.
positive:
Easy access from the I-25
It seems most guests were using their car quite a bit to get to the places they needed to be. They appreciated being so close to the interstate, since it meant they could quickly access the highway and be on their way, with a minimum of fuss.
positive:
Rooms fairly spacious
Whatever other small issues guests may have had with their rooms, their size certainly wasn't one of them. On the contrary, many guests were very pleasantly surprised to find a room much larger than they had expected.
Negative Reviews
negative:
100% carb breakfast
While it did garner one or two compliments, the overwhelming majority of guests did not think much of the breakfast. Aside from the fact that it only contained carbohydrate based foods, with no animal or other proteins at all, even the range of carbs on offer was said to be too limited.
negative:
Bit of a noisy environment
Guests highlighted various sources of noise, including traffic outside, neighbors, people out in the hallway and other guest's dogs barking. They felt the rooms were insufficiently soundproofed to be able to deal with these noises.
negative:
Uncomfortable mattresses
While hotels almost inevitably get at least one or two complaints about their mattresses, simply because tastes vary so much, there were a bit more than that many complaints in this instance. Several guests felt that the mattresses were too hard ,too lumpy and in the end simply too uncomfortable.
