Positive Reviews
positive:
Pretty decent breakfast
This La Quinta property offers an extended breakfast, serving a much greater variety of foods, including hot staples like bacon and eggs, than most other hotels in the group. This seems to have gone a long way with the guests, most of whom enjoyed the meal and found it to be a good start to their day.
positive:
Spotlessly clean rooms
While there were a couple of complaints regarding cleanliness, the overwhelming majority of guests were very happy with the state of their rooms on arrival. They felt that the housekeeping staff had done a good job.
positive:
Convenient location near the highway
Guests liked being so close to the Sam Houston Tollway since it meant, at least outside rush hour, that they could quickly access it and be speeding along to their destination.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Squeaky beds
A surprising number of guests reported that their bed would squeak loudly at even the slightest turn they made. Of course this was conducive neither too sleep, nor to modesty with respect to other activities.
negative:
Breakfast hours a bit limited
While not mentioned often, some would clearly have liked for breakfast to be available for more hours of the day. Both those who had a very early start, and those who wanted to sleep in, felt that the breakfast hours could be extended by an hour in both directions.
negative:
Problems with pet-friendly policy
The La Quinta Group is well known for its exceptionally pet-friendly policies. While those traveling with their pets welcomed these, of course, they did cause problems for others, especially those with hair and dander allergies. The hotel does not have separate pet rooms, so those with allergies should note they may be in a room that has just had a pet in it.
