Positive Reviews
positive:
Rooms spotlessly clean
One of the very first things most guests mentioned in their reviews was that their room was spotlessly clean on check-in. Even those who admitted to having very high standards in this regard felt there was little, if any, room for improvement.
positive:
Great location close to the interstate
Guests clearly liked being so close to the freeway. It made the hotel easy to get to and from, whether they were headed to Baton Rouge, or elsewhere in the region. Also mentioned, was that there was a good variety of restaurants nearby, which guests were very happy to find.
positive:
Very pro-active staff
While the hotel’s staff received a lot of praise in general, what most impressed guests were how pro-active they were. They mention that staff did not wait for guests to approach them all the time, but actively sought out their feedback to make sure they had everything they needed for a great stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise from the interstate
Guests reported that the great location, right by the freeway, did not come without a price. They mentioned that the windows were clearly not soundproof and that they could easily hear the sound of cars speeding by. Light sleepers should request a room facing the other way.
negative:
Rooms a bit small
Quite a number of guests in the standard rooms mentioned being disappointed with their size. They were clearly expecting a much bigger room, and found it a bit awkward to move around comfortably, especially if traveling as a couple.
negative:
Gym a bit disappointing
Those looking to keep up with their regular workouts while on the road were disappointed to find the fitness center was not well equipped, consisting of only a couple of machines. These did not allow guests to get a full range of exercise.
