Time Square Hotel is a two-star hotel with 47 rooms situated in the Deira district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a 20 minute stroll to the historic Dubai Gold Souk. Rooms have a simple decor and are equipped with flat screen television, satellite channels and air conditioner. Private bathrooms are provided with shower and a bathtub. Connecting/adjoining rooms are available on request. Facilities like car rent, beauty salon, barber shop, tour/ticket assistance, 24 hour front desk, safety deposit box and elevator can be availed by the guests. Parking is not available and Wi-Fi is complimentary in rooms as well as public areas. Doctor on call is also available. Breakfast is served in the dining room every morning. Onsite restaurant and a lobby are present. Dubai Airport is ten minutes’ drive and Baniyas Square Metro Station is seven minutes’ walk from Hotel Grand Square.
Most of the guests found the location of the hotel to be very convenient as it was centrally located, close to all the major places of interest. The airport and train station can be reached within a few minutes. There are many eating options around the hotel like Karachi Darbar and Bombay Kabab. Al Ghurair Mall is very close by. Guests did not have to use taxis at all.
Many guests felt that the stay in this hotel was far more economical than other hotels in the same area. The basic facilities were made available in the hotel that ensured a comfortable stay. Shower in the bathroom was of good quality and comfortably placed. Breakfast buffet is also comparatively affordable.
Even though the rooms were small they were kept clean and maintained well. Rooms have marble floors and are cleaned every day. There was plenty of hot water. The front desk staff was very polite and ever ready to ease out any of the concerns of the guests.
Most of the guests did not like the food served for the breakfast as the spread was a very limited one consisting of bread, butter, sausages, small biscuits and some tea or coffee. Moreover, they served same thing almost every second day which could be a bit mundane.
Guests found it very difficult to charge their electrical gadgets as there was only one electrical socket in the room, that too behind the television.
Non-availability of a private parking space was a huge inconvenience for many guests as they had to keep hunting for nearby parking places that were secure.
