Ginger New Delhi is also known as Ginger Rail Yatri Niwas and is part of the Ginger Hotels Chain, a budget arm of the Taj Hotel Group. Housed in the renovated building that used to be the Indian Railways-owned hotel at New Delhi Station, Ginger New Delhi aims to offer guests a high quality, innovative budget hotel concept. Guests can check in using self-check-in kiosks and Ginger is the first hotel chain in India to use these. The 108 rooms are a mix of single, twin, double and family rooms and disability access rooms are also included. Every room has an en suite bathroom with shower and follows the chain's 'Smart Basics' policy of offering well designed facilities without any frills. All rooms have air-conditioning, a room safe, desk, coffee and tea facilities, internet wi-fi access, TV and a refridgerator stocked with pure safe water which can be replenished at will from the water coolers. The hotel has a gym and restaurant and food can be ordered 24 hours a day for consumption in your room, although guests have to collect it from the front desk.
