Close to the beach and local amenities.
The hotel is within walking distance of the beach which many guests found very convenient. Those who wanted to dine out were pleased to find numerous cafes and restaurants just a short stroll away. Many local attractions including the Edgartown Lighthouse are also very close.

Guests appreciated the intimate feel of this privately-owned hotel and said that they felt very relaxed and at ease for the duration of their stay. The hotel offers milk and cookies in the evening which was a good time for all of the guests to get together and socialize.

Those who dined at the restaurant adjoining the hotel were very complimentary when it came to the quality of the food and the service. Many enjoyed the traditional pub food on offer and said that the overall ambience in the restaurant was lively and laid-back. If you are partial to a good burger or fish and chips then you certainly won't be disappointed.
Negative Reviews

Dated bathrooms.
Some of the guests remarked that the bathrooms were quite tired looking and in need of modernization. Broken basins, chipped tile and mould were just some of the objections voiced by disappointed guests. The fixtures and suites were also said to be old-fashioned and basic.

Cleanliness issues.
The carpets in some of the rooms were said to have unsightly marks on them and looked like they were not hovered thoroughly. Some guests also objected to the unclean linoleum floors in the bathrooms.

Poor soundproofing.
Guests reported that they were disturbed by noise from the hallways due to the very thin doors whilst some also objected to being able to hear foot- steps from the rooms located above them.
