Staff are jewels in the crown of Emerald Suites.
What a brilliant start to any visit! Front-desk staff are smiling, pleasant, professional and quick. Check in is easy-peasy. Later, these same staff members will be on hand to help with any queries and direct you to best value shops, restaurants and places of interest. What an asset they are!
positive:
Well maintained property.
There's little to complain about because everything is clean and well maintained. You expected to get good value- and you did!
positive:
It's all about location.
It's noticeably quiet here and yet everything you could possibly want is within easy reach.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Individual guests are 'way out'.
There are a number of buildings here ... in this less than attractive part of town. It seems that corporate guests (*with a generous hospitality budget?!) are allocated rooms nearer to the reception area, because it's safer. Independent travelers are likely to be placed in a more remote building .. and just hope for the best!
negative:
Security: it isn't the cat's whiskers
Late night security is intimidating for guests, with armor-plated up security guards behaving like 'extras' in a 'B' rated action movie. Is this the image that Emerald Suites wants to promote? Really! Put all that on pause ('paws') and note that, at night, the area also becomes unduly populated with stray cats. Very strange.
negative:
It's all 'front'.
Venture round the back of the property and it's a whole new picture! Swearing, fighting, kids roaming free, evidence of drugs. The property name might have changed but the policy of trying to mix oil and water continues ... It will, of course, never succeed.
