Positive Reviews
positive:
Great food and hospitality...
The reception, breakfast, and evening reception staff have received many glowing reviews, with guests often commenting on their friendly conversation. The made-to-order omelets are very popular, though there are a wide variety of other options available, and the dining space is neat, clean, and well organized.
positive:
Fun for the whole family...
Young families appreciate that every room is a suite, as there is plenty of room for everyone, even if there is more than one play-pen set up for the littlest ones to sleep in. Many describe the rooms as very clean and comfortable. The reasonably-sized, well maintained pool is a big plus, too.
positive:
Quiet, yet convenient location...
Many guests are attracted to the hotel's relatively quiet location, which is not far from a bit of green space and a lake, yet also within easy reach of the city's expressways. It's about 15-20 minutes to downtown Louisville and a popular base for day trips to Churchill Downs.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Kids will be kids...
The hotel is popular with young families, and unfortunately, some guests find that the hotel's atrium design helps to amplify the noise made by the rowdiest little travelers headed to and from the pool. Some guests have been disturbed by much older "kids" returning from a night on the town in the wee hours as well.
negative:
Sofa beds due for an upgrade...
Guests have reported that the sofa beds are as notoriously uncomfortable here as they are almost everywhere else. A few guests say the bathrooms are on the smaller side, too.
negative:
To err is human...
Though the majority of the reviews are very positive, most negative feedback unrelated to noise involves housekeeping oversights, booking errors, or one "grumpy" face in an otherwise smiley staff.
