About Elvey Farm
Elvey Farm is a medieval farmstead situated in the heart of Kent’s countryside. A number of historic buildings comprise the hotel, including a stable, barn, and granary, all now converted into luxury guesthouses.
Rustic rooms feature original construction details like stone walls and vaulted ceilings, but the furnishings are all modern. Guests can enjoy TVs, free Wi-Fi, and private baths. The larger suites include living rooms and terraces.
The farm is surrounded by lush gardens, walking paths, and rich landscapes. Dogs are welcome and have a complete run of the farmstead outside of the dining area.
The hotel features its own restaurant, the Stramacchio Italiano, which prepares authentic food using generations-old recipes and locally-sourced ingredients. The farmstead also serves traditional English breakfast and afternoon tea.
Elvey Farm is ten miles away from historic Leeds Castle. The Wildlife Heritage Foundation, offering its exclusive Big Cat Experience, is just down the road.

negative:
The older buildings sometimes show their age.
Although the older buildings that make up the four guesthouses have been renovated and include modern furnishings, some reviewers have commented that the structures still show some age. A few guests have reported faulty electric fixtures, dust, cobwebs, and broken or draughty windows.
negative:
The beds could be more comfortable.
Although many reviews state that the rooms are spacious and well-furnished, some have claimed that the beds were hard, noisy, or otherwise uncomfortable and difficult to get a good night's sleep on.
negative:
Not the best value for money.
For the cost, the farmstead represents a mediocre value compared to other nearby hotels with similar amenities. Some have also said that the restaurant prices are slightly high for what you get. However, few have stated that the farm was unpleasant or that they regret booking their stay.
