Hotel Doubletree By Hilton Battle Creek (Battle Creek, USA)

Guests who needed to be in downtown simply loved the location. They described the hotel as being right in the very center of Battle Creek, with the stadium and Kellogg’s headquarters right on their doorstep.

While guests had good things to say about the staff in general, they were especially impressed with how they went out of their way to help their guests at various points during their stay. While all staff received praise, the valet’s were said to be especially helpful.

Guests were very happy with the state of cleanliness of their room. They had nothing but good things to say about the housekeeping staff, who were said to have done an excellent job all round.

Guests really didn’t seem to think much of the pool. There were a variety of complaints that ranged from safety issues, like there being no written indications of how deep the water was, to cleanliness issues, with many saying the water was murky.

The hotel is very near the main Battle Creek Station. An extraordinary number of guests mentioned that, when leaving the station the trains blow their horns, and that this sound was both loud and easily heard in their rooms. It seems many trains pass through at night, so it caused some problems for guests who were trying to sleep.

An unusually high number of guest complained that they were assigned a room type different to the one they booked. They wondered out loud what the point of booking was if the hotel was not intent on honoring it.
