Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent diving in the area
Of course this wasn't so much to do with the resort itself, but guests did mention just how good the diving in that part of the Red Sea really was. The coral, plant and fish life were said to be some of the most spectacular to be found anywhere.
positive:
Great sea views from the property
It seems that, due to the nature of the site and the style of the buildings, all rooms have some sort of sea view. Of course, when visiting a seaside resort a guest would want some sort of view of it, so they were very happy with the views from their rooms and the public areas.
positive:
Good value for money
While it seems this might be a recent phenomenon, relating to booking cancellation due to security concerns, a number of recent guests said that they received a very good deal on an all-inclusive package.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Lots of closed facilities
Again and again guests mentioned that there were several pools, and other facilities not open when they visited. While these may open in peak season, guests believed it was misleading to advertise facilities if they would not be available they made their visit.
negative:
Problem with feral cats
A couple of guests mentioned a very significant problem with feral cats prowling both the beach and the hotels grounds, sometimes even its buildings, looking for scraps or a handout. Naturally this was very off-putting to many guests.
negative:
Lots of small maintenance issues
A few guests reported that they found a lot of little maintenance issues in their rooms. Any one of them alone would perhaps not have been a big deal, but taken together guests felt that the staff were habitually neglecting maintenance and things looked on a downward slope.
